The Foundation‎ > ‎

History

The Tri-Valley Education Foundation filed its Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws on December 29, 1995.  The foundation is managed by an 10 member Board of appointed directors.  These directors are responsible for the overall governing policy, investment of accumulated funds, public relations, an annual fundraiser and the annual grant application and evaluation process.

Each year, the Foundation solicits grant applications from the the teachers in the Elementary, Middle, and High Schools.  These requests are then screened by the Board and a designated amount is available based on the proceeds from the annual golf-outing.  This process has yeilded many grants across all three schools totaling over $120,000

In addition to the money being raised annually to support the teacher grant requests, the Foundation currently invests over $70,000 in an endowment fund.  It is our long-term goal to accumulate enough money in the endowment fund to support the teacher's grant requests using only the interest income.  Currently all investment income and new bequests to the Foundation are invested in the endowment.
